You might know these things, the indisctinct mammals that live in the dirt. You might have even eaten them before, I've heard that some people do that. Did you know that they're squirrels? Turns out all marmots are a variety of ground squirrel, and the beasts that are normally simply called squirrels are actually tree squirrels. Not sure how often stuff like that occurs, where the name for an entire grouping of animals comes to refer to only a few species in the common tongue, but I swear that I've seen it happen before. According to Wikipedia, there are some other funky names that these guys have acquired through the years, stuff like "Weenusk" and "Whistle-Pig", which are pretty funky I guess.
Anyway, for my actual review of them, I like them. I see them quite often, sometimes alive, sometimes on the side of the road as carrion, sometimes reduced to an indistinct red mass due to having the unfortunate fate of landing in the center of the road after being hit by whatever hit them, probably some fuck in a truck who decided that they should go 55 in a place where the limit is 40 but it's suggested to go 25. Anyway, they're funky, they like to eat apples and whatever other plant matter you can toss to them, I've heard that they can deal damage to the foundation of houses but I haven't seen it happen myself, due to all the ones living near me being a decent distance away. Solid animal, 7/10.
